About Us
​
We are an all-volunteer group of women who treasure music, rehearse and perform for the love of music, and share our commitment and love of music with audiences throughout the NW valley of Phoenix. We come from different fields of music including musical theater, teachers of music, vocal jazz, classical performance, and various instruments.
We typically perform 8 - 10 concerts a season from September through April. We rehearse Mondays, 9 am - noon during the concert season at Sun City West Christian Church. Sectional rehearsals are scheduled as needed.
A 5-member Board of Directors with Ad Hoc non-voting positions as well manages Chorale business.

Jan Schaafsma
Accompanist/Treasurer
Jan Schaafsma has been an accompanist for many years. Starting in 3rd grade and through high school she accompanied many school choirs, church choirs and musicians. In Jr. HIgh she began to play the pipe organ for church services, weddings and more continuing for over 45 years. During this time she also performed solos on both piano and organ. She was also an accompanist for performances of the Messiah, choral groups and 2 ladies' chorus groups in Indiana.

Jan and her husband, Wayne, moved to Sun City West 6 years ago from NW Indiana. She attended Calvin College in Michigan. She is married, has 3 married children and 7 wonderful grandchildren.

Jan also serves as Chief Financial Officer.
